Lynn Dempsey
Lynn Dempsey is the Georgia Real Estate Commissioner and a second-generation auctioneer. Formerly the president and managing broker of Dempsey Auction Company, he served as president of the Georgia Auctioneers Association and was inducted into its Hall of Fame. Dempsey has been actively involved in economic development, previously serving on the Rome-Floyd County Development Authority and the boards of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Chamber. A graduate and past chairman of Leadership Georgia, he also serves on the advisory board for the Exchange Club Family Resource Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. Dempsey holds a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate from the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Katie, reside in Rome and have two children and seven grandchildren.
