About the Awards

The Georgia Mountains & Lakes REALTORS® Association is fortunate to have many wonderful volunteers donating their time, energy and talent to make the association a successful organization. Each year, the Association takes the opportunity to recognize a few of these individuals with the following awards: REALTOR® of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, and Good Neighbor Award.

Award Nominations

Nominations for the awards listed below are appreciated. Nomination forms can be downloaded using the Nomination Form on our Applications & Forms page. All nominations will be presented to the Awards Committee and must be submitted via an online form prior to their posted due date.

REALTOR® of the Year

The REALTOR® of the Year Award shall be presented to a REALTOR® member whose contributions to the Association, the real estate profession, and the community have been made through outstanding service, professionalism, and dedication. This award recognizes a member who has demonstrated REALTOR® spirit, upheld the principles of the Code of Ethics, promoted good real estate practices, and shown leadership through business accomplishments, civic involvement, and participation at the local, state, and national REALTOR® association levels. The nominee shall have established a standard of excellence that reflects positively on the REALTOR® organization, fellow members, clients, and the general public.

Affiliate of the Year

The Affiliate of the Year award is given to the Affiliate member of the Georgia Mountain & Lakes REALTORS® Association who has made the greatest contribution of time, energy and resource to the Georgia Mountain & Lakes REALTORS® Association in the calendar year.

Good Neighbor Award

The Good Neighbor Award recognizes a REALTOR® member whose ongoing service and dedication have made exceptional contributions to improving the quality of life in their community. This award honors local REALTORS® who give their time and talents to support meaningful community efforts, including education, youth initiatives, charitable programs, and other community-based projects. The nominee shall have demonstrated a commitment to service that reflects positively on the REALTOR® organization, the real estate profession, and the community.
